INTERCULTURAL BUSINESS COMMUNICATION is a basic subject required for Diploma IV students of English for Business Communication and Professional in Politeknik Negeri Padang. 



It supplements students with the foundation knowledge on:

      • the theories of intercultural communication
      • pragmatics and the spoken language
      • discourse and the written language

This subject mainly teaches the awareness of theories of communication, culture, language and society and their applications in business interactions. It also emphasises on intercultural and communication theories applied to work-related contexts in International Business. 

Learning Outcomes:

    By the end of the module, students should be able to:

      • Understand and apply theories commonly associated with intercultural business communication in:
          • Speaking exercises
          • Writing Exercises
      • Identify and analyse the impact of cultural differences on business communication in a range of contexts

Deskripsi Singkat Maka Kuliah:
Mata kuliah ini membahas tentang bagaimana berkomunikasi dalam Bahasa Inggris agar mahasiswa dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara mereka (Speaking Skill). Pelajaran ini diintegrasikan dengan kemampuan mendengar (Listening Skill) dan pengayaan kosakata Bahasa Inggris (vocabulary development), dengan pembagian 25% teori dan selebihnya praktek.
